Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 2026
This policy explains what personal information is collected when you use this website (laurablaya.com) or get in touch, how it is used, and the choices and rights you have.
Who I am
This website is run by Laura Blaya, a Fractional Operations Manager for boutique fitness studios, based near Leeds, United Kingdom. I am the data controller for the personal information described in this policy. If you have any questions, you can reach me at [email protected].
The information I collect
Information you give me. When you complete the contact form, you provide your name, your studio name (optional), your email address and the message you write. If you choose to book a call, you are taken to a third-party scheduling tool (Calendly), where you enter your details directly with that service.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, my web server keeps standard access logs — for example your IP address, browser type, the pages you visit and the date and time — to keep the site secure and running. This website does not use advertising or analytics tracking cookies.
Fonts. This site loads fonts from Google Fonts. When it does, your browser contacts Google's servers, which may receive your IP address. This is covered by Google's own privacy policy.
How I use your information
I use the details you send to respond to your enquiry, arrange a call and discuss how I might help your studio. If we go on to work together, I use your contact details to communicate about that work. I use server logs to keep the website secure and working properly.
Legal basis for using your data (UK GDPR)
I process your contact-form details in order to take steps at your request before entering into a possible working arrangement, and on the basis of my legitimate interest in responding to enquiries. Server logs are processed under my legitimate interest in keeping the site secure.
Who I share it with
I do not sell your personal information. Your contact-form message is delivered to me by email through my email provider, and any call you book is handled by Calendly. These providers process your data on my behalf or under their own policies. I may also disclose information if I am required to by law.
How long I keep it
I keep enquiry emails only for as long as needed to respond to you and, where relevant, for the duration of any working relationship and any legal or accounting obligations that follow. After that, they are deleted.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict the use of your personal information, and to object to how it is processed. To exercise any of these, email me at [email protected]. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
Security
I take reasonable measures to protect your information. The contact form includes basic anti-spam protection, and submissions are sent through my host's mail system.
Changes to this policy
I may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top shows when it most recently changed.
